The desktop of Linux is from X-Window [not x-windows], plus the window manager GNOME or KDE
1 only selects XWindow, KDE and GNOME. TWM XTERM, it is not very useful 2 If I do n’t choose XWindows and only choose KDE, the desktop environment cannot be started
x-window is the root, KDE and GNOME are trunks leaves leaves leaves.
